Why Margin? A margin is the open space surrounding a printed page or a border/edge. The name is both geographically and spiritually apt. Mary's Margin is on the edge of a subdivision and on the Vernon Marsh. It is also a space for spiritual exploration and discernment. It is a space where people can get outside the story of their lives and edit it. Above all, it is an open space, a place of beauty, where all are free to be who and where they are in their life journey, and to do what is needed to grow toward their true selves.

Our life at the Margin centers around a life of prayer, corporate and personal. We try to foster a healthy life style, shared with those who live with us in the Inner Peace Corps Program and all who come as guests. We also share a regard for the natural world around us, a concern for justice and peace for all people, and a desire to grow through study and reflection.
